The role is based at a high end private residential development in Kensington. Required experience and knowledge of managing swimming pool equipment and machinery, HVAC, BMS systems, PPM management. Should have ideally a plumbing or electrical qualifications; Desirably, the candidate will hold an NVQ Level 3 in Maintenance Engineering. The role shall also encompass the responsibility for managing 2 x sub-contracted Residence Engineers and the M&E contractors and managing health and safety. We need someone with strong all round building maintenance experience who can manage contractors, manage planned and reactive works and manage expenditure and budgets but at the same time be practical too in resolving maintenance faults.
Our client requires a very hands on Engineering Team Leader who is to be employed to carry out some of the planned and reactive maintenance works as well as oversee the daily engineering operations and facilities management contractors. Facilities Maintenance Supervisor will be expected to manage two site engineers who cover 7 days per week. Facilities Maintenance Supervisor will generally work Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm but some flexibility is needed from time to time depending on planned works and in the event of any reactive issues. You will be reporting to the General Manager and be responsible for delivering a rolling programme of repairs and maintenance for the Building.
Duties will include ensuring that residents, visitors, staff and contractors are protected from health and safety hazards. undertaking electrical repairs and routine maintenance checks of all M&E equipment and machinery, checking all lights including emergency lights throughout the communal areas and car parks.
It’s definitely not a suit and tie job in an office organising people, it will be very hands on and we need someone with good IT and good knowledge of BMS systems, M&E, Heating and Hot Water and Air Conditioning systems, swimming pools ideally.
