Temporary Caretaker required Monday to Friday, 10:00am to 2:00pm in Marden, TN12. Pay is £12.21 per hour plus 12.07% accrued holiday pay. We are seeking a temporary caretaker based in the Marden/Sevenoaks area for an assignment starting in May at a gated residential development exclusively for residents aged 60 and over. This is a hands-on role where you will be the main point of contact for cleaning, gardening, security and general maintenance matters. You will carry out a daily patrol of the estate, reporting any issues to management, maintaining a detailed site log of incidents, contractor visits and instructions received, responding to fire alarm activations, and managing bins and rubbish collection. Duties also include litter picking throughout each shift internally and externally, including the grounds and car park areas; emptying and cleaning cigarette receptacles weekly; cleaning glazing to both sides of communal access and fire doors bi-weekly and removing finger marks from paintwork; wiping wall surfaces; dusting window sills and flat surfaces and removing cobwebs weekly; vacuuming carpeted areas and spot cleaning marks; damp mopping hard floors; sweeping external pathways; sweeping and disinfecting around waste containers; cleaning communal internal windows bi-weekly; cutting communal grass areas weekly; and keeping flower beds tidy, weed-free and pruned as required. The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable and physically capable, with good manual dexterity and a practical, hands-on approach to work.
