Permanent position available at a prime residential apartment block in Kensington. The role will involve formal reception duties in the lobby of the apartment block for the purpose of meeting and greeting residents and providing a safe and secure environment. The role will involve some regular building checks including fire and health and safety checks plus investigating any reactive maintenance issues. There will be some minor general cleaning duties plus domestic rubbish collection rounds to undertake. Security to the building is very important and therefore the Porter will expect to conduct regular walks of the communal areas and plant rooms to ensure not only security but noting any reactive maintenance issues. During a building check there will be domestic rubbish to collect up to put into the centralised refuse collection point plus some minor cleaning tasks to the entrance lobby. As this is a lone working role taking full responsibility for the building’s facilities and residents safety, it is essential for all applicants to have a strong proven track record and have held similar experience in a position of trust and responsibility. Ideally someone who has worked in a residential building before as a Concierge, Porter or Caretaker. Must have exceptional customer service skills and excellent command of English along with good initiative and self-motivation to work alone unsupervised.
