On behalf of our client we are looking for an experienced Handyperson to work at this modern high end residential development in Stratford. You must be prepared to work on a trial temp basis for 2 months. The purpose of this role is to provide efficient and effective handyman support the development, including ensuring the security and general appearance of the buildings and surrounding areas are maintained in accordance with required standards. Duties will include ensuring health & safety regulation and safe working practices are in place, carrying out general maintenance inspections of all internal common areas, courtyards, plant rooms and building systems, complying with all relevant health and safety legislation and procedures, undertaking repair and reactive, planned and preventative maintenance work, ensuring all tools are maintained, inspecting and maintaining as necessary all exterior and interior doors, being responsible for clear and safe pedestrian access to all development areas, particularly in adverse weather conditions i.e. clearing snow, gritting etc, identifying local hazards and breaches in common areas, such as unauthorised storage, spillages, broken glass, litter, noise and balcony offences, and reporting to the Facilities Manager as appropriate, and undertaking any other duty as requested by the Line Manager or acting Line Manager as might be reasonably expected or required, including assistance with ad hoc projects. Successful candidates will have strong customer services focus based on service excellence, at least two years’ previous experience as a handyman, good command of the English language and able to write reports, must be polite, courteous with a smart and clean appearance, available for work out of hours including weekends if necessary, experience of working on residential developments and electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry or other trade qualifications.
